The aftermath of the DOS

We are cautiously optimistic that the DOS attack has abated. We are also advised by our upstreams that at this point all null routes have been removed.

If you are still experiencing visibility problems, and you know how to do the following: please email the following to support:

"dig +trace <your_domain>"

a traceroute from where you are to any or all of our nameservers

Mark, how much does these DDoS attacks cost you? Back in the day, when I was using UUnet South Africa for co-location, a DDoS attack used to cost me a couple of grand before the Null routes were put into place. I'm assuming that it would be next-to-nothing for you guys.

Try using anycast to issolate traffic a bit more over multiple locations.
